March Speedscrap Challenge
The notion behind Speedscrapping is that everyone participating creates a digital layout in one hour using only written instructions. The host for the challenge gives us a list of items we need for the layout- in this case it was 4 papers (extra credit for using all patterned papers), 2 photos (one that is square or could be cropped square), a square frame, alphabet letters for a one-word title and a small, simple element. The next step was to place the large photo, followed by "cutting" and positioning the papers. Then the second photo was positioned, with the title underneath it. Several lines of journaling went underneath the title (this caused some issues for some of us who had used either a really detailed patterned paper or a dark colour) and then the small element was added last. Once the hour was up, we had another hour to tweak and post our layouts to the Design House Digital Speedscrap Gallery so they could be compared to the original layout the host used for the challenge. Everyone who had a layout posted by the deadline was eligible for a gift certificate to the online store... and I WON!
